The advanced full-motion functionality and Constant Force (CF) technology of the Ergotron Interactive Arm LD and Interactive Arm HD ensure omni-directional movement and unmatched light-touch display adjustability.

"Displays are a familiar feature in boardrooms, classrooms and hospital rooms, but the way people interact with them is changing," said Kevin Paulson, director, product management at Ergotron. "Our Interactive Arms allow one display to be used for a whole gamut of activities and are easily operated by a wide range of users with different needs and abilities, making the possibilities for commercial applications abundant."

In a corporate setting, the Interactive Arm provides a space-conscious display solution that can be perfectly positioned for video conferencing or viewing by a large group. Classrooms can use one display for multiple purposes: video when raised high or interactive touch-screen learning when lowered. Healthcare and assisted care environments can present more content in more ways, with a product that is uniquely suited to cater to children and wheelchair-bound individuals.

Displays mounted on the Interactive Arm encourage healthy movement by the user or viewer while offering ergonomic benefits as well. Movement challenges the effects of sedentary lifestyles by increasing metabolic rates and positively affecting other physical systems. Obtaining the proper viewing height and angle for a display can also alleviate back and neck strain. The product provides a comfortable means for interacting with displays whether sitting or standing.

The Interactive Arms integrate CF technology for fluid, light-touch display movement. Displays can be raised for overhead signage and lowered for ergonomics or touch screen applications. Each mount can be perfectly positioned for the activity at hand. The complete flexibility makes corner and recessed applications possible, and can easily be used when wall space is limited. A full 180 degrees of pan allows the display to be viewable from multiple rooms or areas dependant on mounting location. CF technology ensures that the force required for movement always remains minimal.

Ergotron's Interactive Arms extend 24" (61 cm) from the wall, can be fully retracted to 6.5" (16.5 cm) when not in use, and provide up to 20" of vertical and horizontal adjustment. The Interactive Arm LD mounts displays up to 32" between 7 to 20 pounds (3.2-9.1 kg), while the Interactive Arm HD mounts 30" to 60" displays, 18 to 40 pounds (8.2-18.2 kg). Each features post-installation leveling, tilt, pan and cable management.

Available in a polished aluminum finish, the units can be purchased through global reseller and distribution partners at an MSRP of US$299 (Interactive Arm HD) and US$129 (Interactive Arm LD) in early January 2012.
