CHICAGO -- Intel Corp. will share what it has in store for the vending and refreshment services industry during the National Automatic Merchandising Association's OneShow in Las Vegas.
In a new session set for Wednesday, April 25, at 11 a.m. at the Venetian-Sands Expo and Convention Center, Intel director of retail marketing Chris O'Malley will offer some nontechnical background on computing developments that come together in the chipmaker's vision for intelligent vending.
That revelation reportedly includes a securely managed, seamlessly connected network of vending machines, along with remote monitoring, electronic payments, digital signage and consumer analytics. While that sounds like the same course on which the vending industry has been traveling for past decade, Intel also envisions new applications that might alter the vending landscape.
The Intel executive will also discuss how vending services can benefit from new customer interfaces, mobile applications, real-time inventory management, transaction flexibility and target marketing at the point of sale.
