Lufthansa has introduced four new self-service check-in kiosks at Mumbai International Airport.

Passengers travelling with the German flag-carrier are now able to check-in on the kiosks using their booking reference, credit card number or Miles & More Star Alliance membership card.

Any passenger who has baggage to check-in can drop their bag at a bag drop counter, while those with just hand luggage can proceed straight to security.

Lufthansa's introduction of the kiosks to Mumbai International Airport follows the recent findings of the 2011 SITA Passenger Self-Service Survey, which found that self-service check-in at the airport increased from 36% in 2010 to 65% in 2011.
