More Retailers Adopting KODAK Picture Kiosk Wi-Fi Connectivity

Gives Smartphone Users More Ways to "Free" Their Images and Create Lasting Memories with their Photos

ROCHESTER, N.Y.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Recognizing that consumers seek fast, easy ways to do more with images captured on mobile devices, retailers are rapidly adopting Kodak's wireless connectivity (Wi-Fi) for KODAK Picture Kiosks. With the Wi-Fi functionality on the KODAK Picture Kiosks, consumers can transmit images directly from their ANDROID and APPLE Smartphones to a KODAK Picture Kiosk while in-store. Most recently, Target in the U.S. added wireless connectivity to its fleet of KODAK Picture Kiosks.

To complement the back-end Wi-Fi connection, Kodak also created two iOS and ANDROID OS enabled apps that provide the front-end interface for consumers. The apps, available for download for free through the GOOGLE PLAY or the iTunes Store, provide an intuitive, simple method for consumers to get the images from their smartphones to a KODAK Picture Kiosk.

KODAK Kiosk Connect App: With this app, consumers can choose a set of images on their smartphones and while in-store, transmit those images to a KODAK Picture Kiosk. Once the consumers have transmitted the images, they can create treasured photo products at the Picture Kiosk, including prints, enlargements, calendars, greeting cards and photo books. In the latest version of the app (v1.6), Kodak includes a Wi-Fi locator and native iPhone 5 support.

MY KODAK MOMENTS App: This app has the same functionality as the Kiosk Connect App, as well as the option to create and order photo products right on the phone, including QuickBooks and greeting cards. Consumers simply choose the images on their phone and place them in the on-phone templates. Once they've completed the design, they choose the most convenient Target location at which to pick-up the products, and place their order. Greeting cards are part of the new version of this app (v2.4), along with native iPhone 5 support.

"More and more people capture and store images on their smart phones, yet many haven't known an easy way to turn those treasured digital files into tactile, long-lasting prints and photo gifts," said Garth Neenan, Regional Business Manager, U.S. & Canada, Personalized Imaging, Kodak. "With our Wi-Fi on our Picture Kiosks and our KODAK apps we meet the needs of consumers where they first capture and interact with their images. Making it easy for consumers to create pictures and memories at a KODAK Picture Kiosk in turn benefits our retailers, who see increased engagement with and purchase of premium photo products created at our kiosks."

Wi-Fi enabled KODAK Picture Kiosks are currently available at CVS/pharmacy, Target stores, and Bartell Drugs in the U.S. and Officeworks in Australia. For more information on Kodak's mobile solutions, visit www.Kodak.com/go/mobile.
